Last December 3, the community Parish and our theologate community culminated the celebration of Saint Francis Xavier Feast Day with the ordination to the Diaconate of our dear Bro. Aimé Mitengezo Muhoza (now Reverend!) through the prayer and the laying on of hands of Bishop Antonio R. Tobias.
A very international assembly gathered at St Francis Xavier Parish Church for the occasion. We enjoyed the celebration and offered our prayers for Aimé. Through the intercession of St. Francis Xavier may he continue his missionary journey faithfully serving Christ and making visible the love of God, who always and everywhere has a place for everyone!
After the Holy Mass, everybody moved to our house (Conforti Hill) where a very much alive fellowship followed. More than four hundred people – mostly from Saint Francis Xavier Parish, but also from Project 8, from Marikina (Our lady of Guadalupe Parish), from several congregations …. – enjoyed the food, the program (full of creative traditional and modern dances) and the raffle draw, which was the culmination of our yearly fund raising activity. It was almost midnight when the party ended. All of us, though tired, were experiencing an overwhelming feeling of thanksgiving to God and to the Filipino people for allowing us to feel and to be at home in this place, which more and more is becoming our home!
