Community Joy of Welcoming our Four New Confreres

This Year 2018-2019 our community have a great joy to welcome four new confreres from four countries: Cameroon,  Mexico, DRCongo,  and Indonesia.

New Comers 2018

Cedrick( Cameroon)

I am Tiako Tima Cedrick Auriol. I come from Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon. I arrived in the Philippines on July 21, 2018. I was greatly happy when I heard that I was assigned to the Philippines because it was my dream to come to Asia as also our founder wished. I thank God for my being here and I ask Him to give me the strength to get inculturated in the Filipino culture which is different from Cameroonian. I am happy to do this journey with other brothers who come from different countries, have different customs and languages and now I see the beauty of community life. I hope to enjoy my life here and be able to improve my English skills before beginning my theological studies. Glory be to God.

Carlos( Mexico)

My name is Carlos Arturo de la Huerta Sanchez. I am originally from Mexico and I arrived in the Philippines a month ago. I am very happy with this destination that I received from the General Direction of the Xaverian Missionaries. I hope that I will be able to speak English, to begin theological studies, and to continue my preparation for the missionary life. Upon my arrival, the community has received me with great pleasure and in a very generous way. I thank each of the members of my new community who have welcomed me and I thank God for this new stage of my formation.

ISIDORE ( DRCongo)

I am Isidore KAWAYA IDUMBO, Xaverian Missionary from Congo (DRC), from the diocese of Kasongo. I arrived in the Philippines on July 20, 2018, just some days after my first profession. I feel now how much my missionary vocation journey involves both personal and community dimensions. When I heard that the Philippines will be my future land of mission, I began to prepare myself for what I’m living now. What I felt like a dream is becoming reality. When I arrived, the community started the retreat which was my first activity. That reminded me how my being here is a call to follow Jesus as my main priority. Living as missionary disciple with my brothers helps me to learn English together with my three batchmates. we, the first year students, accompany our brothers in the different areas of the apostolate, I consider this service as my best way of integration in this new milieu. May our Lord be known and loved by all.

Purba (Indonesia)

I am Gregorius Purba Nagara from Indonesia. I am here as a Xaverian Missionary and I believe that God wants me to do my formation journey in the Philippines to shape me as his servant. There is no greater thing than to serve God. In this journey, I believe that community life is a fundamental part of my formation. The Theologate Community is composed of members from different countries. We are gathered to become one family for our specific mission “to proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom of God to non-Christians’’. Thank be to God for the grace he bestowed on me to be in this community. May his love and grace always be with us.
